چکیده

Background Livedoid vasculopathy (LV) and cutaneous arteritis (CA) are rare diseases. A consideration of these two conditions as different entities is debatable, because thrombosis inflammation closely related in their pathogenesis mechanisms. Varying reports on the effectiveness anticoagulant immunosuppressant therapies LV CA also point to diagnostic challenge overlap conditions. Objective We sought assess therapeutic effect anticoagulation therapy adult patients with CA, who were recalcitrant immunosuppressive modalities. Methods monocentric retrospective analysis diagnosed between 2010 2018, was carried out. Results describe 8 cases long-term whom significantly reduced pain symptoms. All had symptoms compatible along clinical features characteristic LV, including underlying procoagulative disorders majority (87.5%), confirmed by screening for thrombophilia. review current concepts regarding suggest vascular occlusion a common link entities. Conclusion Although knowledge advocates segregating from vasculitis means histopathological examination experience suggests some complex pathomechanisms.
